S’porean Who Faked His Own Death In Indonesia To Escape Punishment Jailed

This is like something out of a 90’s Hong Kong action movie.

A man stole 3 million shares from his company, then decides to fake his own death to enjoy his riches.

Unfortunately, he was discovered leaving Indonesia a week before his death. Also, he had also continued using his Singapore passport to travel.

He was sentenced to an extra 1.5 years in jail, a sentence that will commence after he has completed his initial jail term.

DBS & POSB Customers Can Sign Up For Free Insurance Against Covid-19

Covid-19 is all anybody could talk about nowadays and everyone is worried.

Well, if you’re a DBS or POSB customer (which most Singaporeans would be), the bank is offering all five million DBS and POSB customers of theirs can sign up for a free 30-day protection against the coronavirus.

After they’ve signed up, if they suay suay kena the coronavirus, they’ll get $100 per day of hospitalisation and a lump sum of $1,000 if they end up in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Registration will start next Monday and end on 15 Mar 2020.

S’pore Reserves “Deep Enough” To Help Tide S’pore Over Covid-19

If you’re unaware, the Singapore government is frantically rolling out financial aid packages for Singaporeans and businesses.

Which makes you wonder, is it enough?

DPM Heng Swee Keat said that the reason why they are able to roll out packages so quickly is because of Singapore’s “deep reserves”.

He added that Singapore’s reserves don’t just refer to finance, but also the “strength, resilience, empathy, and resourcefulness among public servants and Singaporeans.”

2 More Cases of Coronavirus in S’pore But There’s A Silver Lining
