Man Who Punched Maid And Brother In Law Sentenced To 15 Months Jail

His mother complained that their maid was disrespectful. Hence, Benjamin Putra Chumali kicked and punched the 32-year-old Philippine national so hard, her head hit a cupboard glass and it shattered.

He also punched and headbutted his brother-in-law. He pleaded guilty to two counts of assault and was sentenced to 15 months jail.

Woman Jailed For Slashing Ex-Lover With Penknife For Refusing To Accompany Her On A Work trip

Jamie Chen Xin Yi, 23, had had an affair with a married man for about two years before the incident. She was found guilty of slashing him with a 22cm cut that required 29 stitches.

She slashed him with a penknife with a 7cm blade after he didn’t want to go on a work trip with her. She was sentenced to four months’ jail on one count of voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weopen.

New Drug For Type 2 Diabetes Launched In Singapore, Deemed The ‘First Of It’s Kind’

What’s regarded as the most effective solution on the market will help adults who have uncontrolled Type 2 diabetes. It will be launched in Singapore in conjunction with World Diabetes Day beginning yesterday.

It will also be made available at public and private hospitals. The drug combines two types of diabetes medication, insulin glargine and lixisenatide.

Ngee Ann Kongsi Gives Biggest Single Donation Of $50m For Lasalle Building

Lasalle College students will no longer need to travel to different campuses for classes when a new building is ready.

It is projected to be completed by 2025 and costs $50 million. It will also be connected to Rochor MRT station. Ngee Ann Kongsi has pledged $50million for the building last year.

PSLE Results Will be Released Next Thursday 

Results for the 2019 Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE) will be released next Thursday (21 November). Pupils can get their result slips from their primary schools starting from 11am.

Pupils will receive option forms to select secondary schools upon collection of their result slips, which will have a personal identification number that can be used to make the submission online.
