Two Malaysian Men Arrested With Brown Liquid Suspected To Contain Drugs Found In Vehicle at Jurong Port

Two Malaysian men were arrested after bottles of brown liquid, suspected to contain drugs, were found in their vehicle at Jurong Port.

Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) officers found four bottles of the brown liquid in a Malaysia-registered lorry that was transporting metal beams.

The brown liquid is believed to be Kratom, a substance that contains Mitragynine and 7-Hydromitragynine, which are Class A controlled drugs.

GrabFood Rider Who Died In Gambas Avenue Accident Was Working Part-time To Support Ill Wife & Family

The GrabFood delivery rider who died in an accident in Gambas Avenue last Friday, had been working two jobs to support his family.

He left behind his wife and an 11-year-old daughter.

The man was a Singaporean permanent resident from Ipoh who had a full-time job with an electronic engineering company. He started delivering food about a month ago to supplement his family’s income after his wife fell ill and was unable to work.

The 42-year-old man had been working in Singapore for over a decade.

Three Men Aged 30, 35, & 65 Arrested For Fighting In Teck Whye Car Park

Three men were arrested by the police after a brawl broke out in Teck Whye on Saturday (21 Dec).

Police say they were alerted to the fight at 7.42pm at Block 120 Teck Whye Lane.

A 65-year-old man was arrested for affray and criminal intimidation, while two other men, aged 30 and 35, were arrested for affray.

The 35-year-old man was conscious when taken to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. Investigations are ongoing.

Abandoned Vietnamese Baby Treated At KKH In 2017 Has Died In Hospital

An orphaned Vietnamese baby who was treated at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital two years ago has died.

The three-year-old boy, Loc Pham Duc Loc, died on Thursday (19 Dec) of infection while being treated in a Vietnam hospital.

In July 2016, Loc was found abandoned at Van Buc Temple in Vietnam’s southern coastal province of Ben Tre.

He had to be taken to the hospital because he had hydrocephalus, an abnormal build-up of the cerebrospinal fluid that surrounds the brain.

15 Singaporeans Hurt In Thailand Road Accident

Fifteen Singaporeans were slightly hurt last Friday (Dec 20) in north-eastern Thailand after their passenger truck swerved off the road to avoid a collision.

None were seriously hurt; most of them sustained bruises, while three were given stitches at Singburi Hospital.

One Singaporean, who was warded for observation, is due to be discharged on Sunday.
