Members of the public can now let the National Parks Board (NParks) know how they would like to raise standards in the pet sector through public consultation.

This was launched yesterday and will take place over two months until 26 December. This will take place over online survey and roving exhibitions.

Male Molest Numbers Continue To Increase; Victims Find It Hard To Report Cases

The number of outrage of modesty cases involving male victims has increased from 73 cases in 2009 to 125 cases last year.

The Sexual Assault Care Centre (SACC) at the Association of Women for Action and Research (AWARE) saw a spike in male victims.

The centre saw 14 male clients going for counselling for physical sexual harassment, which was more than the seven in 2017 and five in 2016.

Record Low Attrition Rates At DSTA Down To Improved Trust With SAF: Ng Eng Hen

Attrition rates fell to its lowest-ever at less than 3% at the Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) last year.

According to the Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen, this was due to the improvement in trust and its working relationship with the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).

Today, the SAF and the defence technology community have ‘built up a deeper understanding of each other.

Young Muslims In The West Will Receive More Help As New Mendaki Centre Opens In Jurong

Young Malay residents who live in the western area of Singapore will get more help with their studies as Mendaki opens a new centre in Jurong on Friday, 25 October.

The centre is located near schools like National University of Singapore, Singapore Polytechnic and ITE College West. They hope that it will become a “hub where students can come together to ideate and create projects that address community issues”

NParks & LTA Investigate Man Who Drove Car On ECP Footpath And Cycling Path

The National Parks Board (NParks) is investigating a case wherein a man drove his car on a footpath and cycling track in East Coast Park. The Land Transport Authority (LTA) on the other hand has “initiated regulatory action” against the vehicle owner.

The incident allegedly involved a black Nissan Sunny and took place on a footpath and cycling track in the park on 18 October at around 7.30am.
