Love is a mystery— sometimes we meet the most unexpected people at the most unexpected time and place.
However, when we meet the right person, we will finally understand what love is and fall head over heels in love with them.
Case in point: In Thailand, a 56-year-old grandmother of three is marrying her 19-year-old boyfriend.
While the large age gap of almost four decades may leave you puzzled, their love story is rather intriguing.
How the Duo Met
The woman, Janla Namuangrak, met the 19-year-old Wuthichi Chantaraj about nine years ago when Wuthichi was only 10.
They were neighbours living in the Sakhon Nakhon province of northeast Thailand.
Janla approached Wuthichai to help her with cleaning her home and in the process of doing chores, they sparked up a friendship.
Wuthichi said, “I saw her shabby house and found myself thinking of ways to help her live in a better condition. She is a hardworking woman and also honest. I admire her.”
Brb, time to ask my handsome neighbour for help to do my chores.
They have now been in a relationship for two years, and go on dates in the town and to restaurants.
Being unaffected by the 37-year age gap, they still hold hands and kiss each other in public.
They Plan on Getting Married
Their couple kept their relationship a secret from their loved ones and eventually came public on their relationship this year.
They post photos and videos on social media to display their romance and revealed that they are getting married.
Janla said, “When we told people we were in love, they thought it was crazy. My children were shocked.
“But he makes me feel young again and we have stayed together. We’re happy. We will get married,” she added.
