A wedding in Thailand has received extra attention.

Heck, even international news sites have picked the story up because of an age gap of 50 years between the bride and groom in question.

Accoridng to ETtoday, the groom, who is almost 70 is the president of the Thai coffee company Khao Shong.

The name of the 20-year-old bride has not been revealed but it is understood that it’s the groom’s first marriage.

A good friend of the groom, Chettha Singthaveepol was the original poster of the wedding pictures. Later, several sites have since shared the pictures as well.

Dowry Was Worth $900,000

It is understood that the dowry was worth up to 20 million baht (~S$900,000).

According to sources, the groom has also mentioned that he had decided on the marriage a long time ago.

He also said, “No matter where I am on this Earth, when the day comes, I will return to marry my bride.”
