Catching Annabelle Comes Home this weekend, even though you’re morbidly fearful of horror movies?
Well, here’s a little something to send your mind into even further meltdown.
On Tuesday night (2nd July), Bernard Channing had walked into a cinema in Thailand, distinctly alive. When the movie, Annabelle Comes Home ended, however…
He reportedly went with it.
78YO Tourist Died Watching Annabelle Comes Home In Thailand
According to Bangkok Post, a British man named Bernard Channing had gone to catch the new horror flick, Annabelle Comes Home, on Tuesday night (2nd July) while visiting tourist hotspots in Pattaya.
When the horror film concluded and the lights were turned on, however, something absolutely horrifying awaited his seat neighbour.
Bernard was not alive.
Shocked by the revelation, the shaken woman then shouted for the staff’s help. An emergency call was subsequently made at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Mirror stated that Bernard, who hails from Gedling, Nottingham, was pronounced dead inside the venue. His body was covered and taken away via a side door, and eventually loaded into an ambulance.
Later on, Monthira Phengrat, one of the local residents reportedly said, “There were some people at the entrance talking with the staff. They were in the cinema where the man died and they were very upset. They were very shocked by what had happened. Some people had been sitting near the dead man.”
“The cinema staff were very concerned and they tried to prevent anybody from seeing what was happening. We were prohibited from taking pictures.”
Possible collapse even before the movie started
According to the staff, the 78-year-old man had purchased a single ticket to the movie. Several witnesses also claimed that even before the movie commenced, the man had already collapsed.
The police have said that Bernard’s body was taken to the hospital in the Banglamung district, where a post-mortem examination was conducted to determine the cause of his death.
No information, however, has been released yet.
Curse of the Conjuring Universe
For those unaware, this isn’t the first time a Conjuring Universe flick ‘killed’ someone. Back in 2016, a 65-year-old man from India allegedly had a heart attack while watching The Conjuring 2.
Considering how Annabelle Comes Home is the third Annabelle horror movie, and the seventh in The Conjuring horror franchise, the question begets;

Just how many lives will the Conjuring franchise ‘claim’, by the time it’s done?
I guess only time will tell.
