I love money, you love money, we all love money!
(Yeah, right. If only it’s that easy)
Loving money aside, I’m pretty sure money is a “need” and not just a “want” in our modern society. Realistically speaking, we all know that some of us will make it big in life while others will just wither and decay.
Yeesh, that got a little too dark there.
Anyway, for many of us, state-sanctioned gambling methods like 4D and Toto are the “light at the end of the tunnel”. You know, the “hope” we buy for a shot at riches.
And as always, the upcoming new year draw is incredibly tempting. Hence, here are 10 things you might want to know about the new year draw.
(P.S: Here at the Goody Feed office, we do not approve of gambling of any form. If you’re a textbook example of a gambling addict, please seek help.)
1) What is the new year draw?
For the uninitiated, the new year draw is a yearly Toto draw, typically with higher than normal payouts to attract common folks like us.
2) When is it happening?
According to Singapore Pools, the New Year Toto Draw will be taking place on 5th Jan at 9.30 pm.
For those of you who are thinking about trying your luck, do make sure to buy your tickets before that!
3) Where is it taking place?
The draw will be taking place at Singapore Pools Building, 210 middle road. For those of you who are going to camp there for the results, do let me know how it’s like!
4) How much is it?
Five. Sweet. Million. Singaporean. Dollars.
Oh boy, can you imagine how much that is? With five million, you can probably afford half a house in Singapore! (I’m kidding. Please don’t look for me, HDB)
5) Toto packs
According to the Singapore Pools website, $10 and $20 packs will also be available at all outlets from 2 Jan onward.
I suppose this somehow helps them speed up the process? Maybe numbers from the packs have a higher chance of winning. Eh, who knows.
Time to pray to the RNG god!
6) Extended opening hours
Singapore Pools outlets and phone betting will also have extended operating hours(due to the draw, perhaps). More time for you to spend more money!
7) Not the first time
This is obviously not the first time there’s a new year draw in Singapore.
In 2016, the Toto Hongbao Draw had the biggest ever prize pot of $13.9 million.
The two winning tickets were bought at a Liverwire outlet in Marina Bay Sands and Ng Teo Guan Self Service at block 301, Ubi Avenue 1.
8) Toto hotspots
So, in case you were wondering, there are such things known as “hotspots” or “旺地”. For the pantang ones out there, you might want to consider buying your tickets at these locations.
Well, yeah. Before you ask, there’s actually a Zaobao page tracking the winnings of every betting location in Singapore.
Now, isn’t that convenient?
In conclusion:
Okay, so here are the facts for you Toto fanatics. Considering how ‘8’ is supposed to sound like ‘huat’, we’ve decided to keep the number of facts to 8 this time around(everyone huat ah!).
(If anyone of you actually does win some money because of the info here, please share some with me leh.)
Since you’re here, why not watch a video about a guy who lodged a Police report here in Singapore because he was friendzoned? Seriously. Here, watch it and do remember to share it (and also subscribe to Goody Feed YouTube channel)!
