I am actually surprised to read that there are at least 902 general practitioner (GP) clinics in Singapore.
Like, wow, that means there’s at least one GP within 500m of your house or something!(exaggeration, I know) With that, you can be sure that you’ll be well taken care of—as long as you can afford the cost of a GP.
My ignorance aside, I’m here to deliver some good news! More than 900 GP clinics will remain open during the Lunar New Year holidays from 15 Feb to 18 Feb, according to a news release by the Ministry of Health.
A total of 902 clinics will be open on 15 Feb, with 85 on 16 Feb, 128 on 17 Feb and 268 on 18 Feb.
What’s more, 13 GP clinics will be open for 24 hours from 15 Feb to 18 Feb!
Well, I sure hope I don’t fall sick during the festive season. Given my tendency to overeat every year, I hope my age doesn’t catch up to my health and land me a spot in the hospital!
Oh yes, speaking of hospitals, if an urgent situation were to present itself(touch wood) during this period of time, you can always turn to the accident and emergency department of a Hospital!
That being said, I should consider working out during this period of time too…
All that Bak Kwa is finally taking its toll on my belly!
Happy Lunar New Year and stay healthy, y’all!
