South Korean singer Sandara Park has partnered Singapore-based Power Entertainment as she seeks to expand her solo activities across Southeast Asia.
The partnership was announced at a press conference in Singapore on Thursday, 16 July 2026. Power Entertainment was represented at the event by Singaporean businessman David Yong.
The arrangement will see Power Entertainment work with Park’s own agency, ARADNAS, on opportunities and projects in the region.
Power Entertainment Will Help Sandara Park Reach Southeast Asian Fans
Park said she hopes to create experiences that reflect the culture and characteristics of each country, rather than bringing the exact same concert or content everywhere.
This is particularly relevant to Park, who was born in South Korea but spent much of her childhood and early career in the Philippines.
She explained that she expresses herself differently depending on where she is. In South Korea, she tends to be more formal, while Filipino audiences know her for her humour and playful personality.
Park therefore believes that working with local partners is important, as they understand their respective audiences.
Power Entertainment will focus on working with ARADNAS to give Park more activities and opportunities across Southeast Asia.
Park also said she plans to work with three other partners for other regions, although their identities have not been announced.
In other words, Power Entertainment is not replacing ARADNAS as her main agency. It will act as a regional partner for her Southeast Asian activities.
Sandara Park and David Yong First Connected Through Waterbomb Singapore
Park and Yong first connected through the inaugural Waterbomb Singapore festival in 2024.
Park was among the performers at the festival, while Yong was one of its co-organisers.
According to Park, the experience made her look forward to doing more performances of a similar nature.
The first public activity linked to the new partnership took place just one day after the announcement.
Park appeared at Orchard Central at 7pm on Friday, 17 July, for a fan meet-and-greet that included a hi-bye session and group photographs.
The session was limited to the first 50 qualifying shoppers who spent at least S$100 in a single receipt at the mall and completed the required registration.
Sandara Park Is Building Her Own Solo Career
The partnership comes as Park takes greater control over her solo career.
In June 2026, she announced that she was beginning a new chapter under ARADNAS, a label whose name is “Sandara” spelt backwards.
Her single album rePRISM was released on 20 June. Park was directly involved in its planning and production, and also contributed to its composition and lyrics.
The project includes Festival (Reprism Ver.) and Nail.
Park told CNA Lifestyle that she was previously more focused on interpreting material prepared by producers. She is now thinking more deeply about the messages she wants to communicate through her own music.
Her REPRISM fan concert tour began in Seoul on 4 July, with stops in Macao, Tokyo, Bangkok and Hong Kong also announced.
These solo plans follow 2NE1’s reunion activities. The group, comprising Park, CL, Bom and Minzy, held its Welcome Back anniversary tour across multiple Asian cities before concluding with encore concerts in Seoul in April 2025.
