Cinnabon is saying goodbye to Singapore again.
The American cinnamon roll chain will close its last remaining Singapore outlet at ION Orchard on Tuesday, 22 September 2026, the brand announced on Instagram on 8 September.
The ION Orchard kiosk, located at #B4-61, is currently the only Singapore outlet listed on Cinnabon’s official ordering website.
Its two other outlets, at Raffles City Shopping Centre and Jewel Changi Airport, have already closed. This means the ION closure will bring Cinnabon’s latest Singapore run to an end.
Cinnabon Returned to Singapore in 2023
This is not Cinnabon’s first departure from our shores.
The chain previously operated in Singapore before leaving the market in 2002. It then made a comeback more than 20 years later, opening its Raffles City outlet in February 2023.
The return attracted plenty of attention. 8days reported at the time that some customers queued for as long as two hours during the Raffles City outlet’s soft launch.
Cinnabon expanded fairly quickly after that.
Its second Singapore location opened at ION Orchard in September 2023, while a third outlet opened at Jewel Changi Airport in June 2024.
At its 2023 comeback, Singapore master franchisee Alvin Ng told The Straits Times that the plan was to eventually build Cinnabon up to 10 outlets within five years, including possible kiosk concepts.
The chain ultimately reached three outlets before the Raffles City and Jewel locations shut.
No Reason for Closure Announced Yet
In its 8 September farewell announcement, Cinnabon thanked customers who had supported the brand over the past few years and encouraged them to visit before the ION Orchard outlet closes.
However, the company did not state why it is leaving Singapore.
So for now, there is no verified basis to blame anything from rent to cinnamon-roll fatigue.
Fans still have until 22 September to make one final trip to the ION Orchard outlet before Cinnabon ends its second stint in Singapore.
