Deli Hub Catering Suspended After 51 Pupils & 2 Staff Develop Gastroenteritis Symptoms at MOE Kindergartens

Deli Hub Catering’s food business operations have been suspended after 51 pupils and two staff members at two Ministry of Education (MOE) kindergartens developed gastroenteritis symptoms after eating food supplied by the company.

The suspension began on 27 October 2026 and will remain in place until further notice. The affected centres are MOE Kindergarten @ Springdale in Anchorvale Link and MOE Kindergarten @ Gongshang in Tampines Street 42.

Symptoms Developed Between 21 & 23 October

In a joint statement on 27 October, the Singapore Food Agency (SFA), Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA) and MOE said 53 people had been reported affected as of 26 October.

They developed symptoms between 21 and 23 October. Some sought outpatient treatment, some self-medicated and others recovered without treatment. None was hospitalised.

Deli Hub Catering had been engaged by the Kindergarten Care (KCare) operator at both centres. The kindergartens have strengthened hygiene and precautionary measures, including thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting affected areas.

Caterer Must Clean Premises & Retrain Workers

SFA imposed the suspension because of suspected ongoing transmission. It covers Deli Hub Catering’s premises at 30B Quality Road.

During the suspension, the company must clean and sanitise its premises, equipment and utensils.

All food workers there must retake and pass the Food Safety Course Level 1 and test negative for foodborne pathogens before returning to food work. The appointed food hygiene officer must also retake and pass the Food Safety Course Level 3 before resuming that role.

The KCare operator has arranged another food supplier for both kindergartens. CDA and SFA are investigating, with MOE and the affected centres assisting.
