A former Scoot crew member was sentenced to 11 months’ jail on Oct 27, 2026, for taking nearly S$65,000.
Muhammad Fadzil Nasir took proceeds from inflight food and drink sales. He has repaid the money. The Straits Times reported the sentencing on Oct 28.
Earlier case involved nearly S$40,000
In a separate case, former Scoot crew leader Luqman Hakim Shahfawi received seven months’ jail on March 27, 2026, for pocketing nearly S$40,000 from inflight sales.
CNA reported that Luqman had admitted to one charge of criminal breach of trust as an employee, with another charge considered during sentencing. He had returned S$11,000.
Responding to CNA’s queries at the time, Scoot said it had strengthened its internal processes to prevent similar incidents. The airline also said employees who breached its policies could face dismissal and reports to the authorities.
