The tissue box is usually the thing you move out of the way when you’re taking a photo of your living room. These eight Shopee finds might make you leave it in the shot. There’s a cat in a bow tie, a whale that dispenses tissues through its back and even a sofa for your coffee table.
1. Plush Yellow Cat Tissue Cover
This soft yellow tissue box cover has the rounded shape of a cat lying down. It has rounded ears, dark bead eyes and a nose stitched into the fabric. A red-and-green checked bow tie finishes the look, and tissues pull through a slit in its back.
The cover measures about 30cm by 15cm and is meant for use in the bathroom, living room or another room at home. It ships from Taiwan. Other colours are on the same page, so go for the “Yellow Cat” one.

2. Ceramic Green Whale Tissue Box
This glossy dark green ceramic whale has gold accents on its eye, flipper and upward-curving tail. The gold-rimmed opening on its back doubles as the tissue slot and looks like a blowhole, the opening a real whale breathes through.
The listing also shows an orange version, but there is no colour option to choose at checkout, so the green whale in the main photos is the one to expect and orange is not guaranteed. Set it on the coffee table or a desk. The whale ships from Mainland China.

3. Retro TV Tissue Box (Orange)
A bright orange frame surrounds the black screen on this chocolate-brown, old-fashioned TV. Two round control knobs sit on an orange panel marked “TV set”. The box is made of resin, a material that hardens into shape after it’s moulded.
Tissues pull out of the top, leaving the screen and knobs in full view on a desk or living room table. This tissue box ships from Mainland China. For the bright orange front, go for “Orange-TV tissue box”.

4. Plush Mini Sofa Tissue Cover (Brown)
This miniature sofa is a tissue box cover made of soft brown plush fabric. It measures about 18cm by 10cm by 15cm, and there’s an easy-access opening for refills when the little sofa has dispensed its last tissue.
You can give the mini sofa a spot beside the actual sofa, or keep it on a desk, in the bedroom or in the car. It ships from Mainland China. Go for “Style1” for the brown mini sofa.

5. Burger-Shaped Tissue Holder
This cheeseburger-shaped holder is made of PVC, a type of plastic. The top bun has sesame-seed detailing and a slot for pulling out tissues. Below it are lettuce, a brown patty and a layer of yellow cheese resting on the bottom bun.
It ships from the Philippines, and you’ll need to supply your own tissues. The same page also has Toast Bread and Croissant designs, so go for “Burger” to get the one with the sesame-seed bun.

6. Sad Frog Face Plush Tissue Cover
This frog looks like it could use a tissue itself. Its sad face is made from crystal velvet plush, a soft fabric with a velvety surface. The cover measures about 22cm by 17cm and is made to fit most tissue packs.
The frog ships from Taiwan and can sit on the table or in the car. The face is the whole design here, so even when nobody’s reaching for a tissue, there’s still a glum little frog to look at.

8. Cute Toast Bread Man Ceramic Tissue Box
This ceramic tissue box turns a slice of toast into a little character. It doubles as a decorative piece for the living room, though the toast shape makes it particularly at home on the dining table, where tissues are handy at mealtimes.
The toast character also works as a bedside tissue box and ships from Mainland China. There are several designs on the same page, so go for “A-Tissue boxes” for the ceramic toast character.
