Every few days, AhBoi82 would walk around the office and ask the girls this question: “I’m getting a little old. You want marry me? I got CPF. We can BTO fast fast.”
So far, he’s not been successful. All the girls have rejected him except the cleaning auntie, who wanted to introduce her daughter to him but he preferred someone younger.
One day, I showed this image to him:
“Maybe this will work,” I suggested.
AhBoi82 then approached XiaoBeach73, who was then drinking bubble tea. The next day, they’re happily married with three kids.
Life’s full of surprises, indeed.
And if you think that a wedding with bubble tea is just another fantasy from the office of Goody Feed, you’re wrong.
A Malaysian couple has just done it, and suffice to say, everyone’s happy.
Malaysian Couple Married with Bubble Tea Station
If you’ve been a bubble tea fan long enough, you’d remember Chatime. Back then, they were everywhere. However, somehow, in recent years, the chain disappeared in Singapore—I’m not certain if there’s still an outlet here, but an online search didn’t yield any results.
They’re still going strong in Malaysia though.
And a Malaysia leng lui is so obsessed with the brand that she’s taken it up a notch.
No, They Didn’t Just Have Bubble Tea After The Wedding.
Instead, the bride, who goes by the Facebook handle of Shirley Hellos, engaged Chatime to do live catering during the wedding day.
And we’re not talking about catering hundreds of cups and leaving them for guests to take: that’s an insult to any self-respecting bubble tea fan.
We’re talking about live catering, whereby the teas are freshly made for each guest.
She said, “Instead of soggy warm boba (like the photos you’ve seen that don’t have any ice and have been pre-made hours before serving) we asked the local Chatime to do live catering during our cocktail hour so they had each drink freshly made! Even the manager served our guests and it was an insane hit!”
And the reason why she opted for such an unconventional wedding?
“Don’t let your dreams just be dreams. Especially on your big day. I got married on May 18, 2019 and we made the bubble tea wedding dream come true.”
