At the young age of 23, I’m already finding fitness a tad bit hard to maintain, considering how I have to juggle work, studies and my personal life all at the same time. Like everybody else out there.
“How do those people do it?” I once wondered absent-mindedly, as I faceplanted on the floor after failing my last push-up rep. “How do they keep fit?”
Desperate, I turned to my colleagues in the office for help.
“Aiya no use one la,” Dream said. “Nobody’ll look at you also; train for what?”
“Fitness? What’s that? Can eat alnot?” said Tao Foo, whose surname’s Yong.
Just as I found myself losing all hope, however, my boss said in a booming voice:
“Aaron Kwok.”
I looked at my boss, and then I typed on the computer: Aaron Kwok.
Right away, the 53-year-old’s ripped body appeared in front of my face, a picture of pure fitness and dedication.
“That, my boy,” my boss said. “Is the key to fitness.”
“Whether you can follow his methods, however, will be entirely up to you.”
Aaron Kwok’s Insanely Ripped Body
As fans of Aaron Kwok would surely attest to, the Canto-pop superstar has always boasted a ripped body.
Even decades ago.
But it seems that like fine wine, Kwok has only gone from strength to strength. In 2014, the then 48-year-old did a photo shoot for a fitness company’s ad campaign and hell’s bells;
Look at this.
But then again, the star’s physique is not without pure hard work, whether it’s in the gym or in the kitchen. According to Jaynestars, Aaron has a habit of waking up at 4:00 a.m. every morning to go jogging (even amidst a busy filming schedule), restricts his diet to lean proteins, fruits, steamed vegetables and water. He also swims regularly, and goes for physical examinations twice a year to ensure his health is in order.
“I have high expectations of myself,” Aaron once said. “I started training 20 years ago and have never slacked off. I will continue to work out in the future. It has become my life’s mission. It is also an interest of mine.”
Well, that’s dedication. Sheer dedication.
Aaron Kwok’s Ways to Stay Fit Are Both Creative & Insane
Now 53, the Canto-pop star’s still looking as fabulous as ever.
The 53-year-old once shared that he gets on the scale every single day to ensure that his weight stays at 63 kg. In fact, he’s so strict with his weight that if he were to gain even one kg, he said that he would “feel like dying”, and immediately eat less and exercise more.
But it seems that his way to fitness might involve a little creativity as well, which was showcased just a few days after he spoke about that.
Having landed in Taipei a couple of nights before, he immediately went to have his favourite mala hotpot. And as soon as he had finished half his portion, the megastar revealed how he attempted to control his food intake by throwing away his chopsticks.
Thought that’s crazy in itself? Wait till you see this later bit.
Apparently, Kwok had requested the hotel staff to put a treadmill in his room…
So he could go for a run to repent for his dietary sins.
Creative? Yes. Insane? Definitely.
Dedicated? Without a doubt.
And with that in mind, I shall just end off this article here.
Because I have some fitness goals to achieve right now, at this very moment.
