Oohh, free nudes of a famous person.Â
That’s probably what some of you are thinking when you see this headline.
Yes, they’re online. And yes, if you do a search on Google, you’re probably going to find them.

But let’s take the focus off the nudes for a moment and focus on the person behind them.
One Bella Thorne.

Or, for those who are not well-versed in the names of Hollywood actresses, you might know her as Ashley Grey, the rising pop star in Alvin & The Chipmunks: The Road Chip.
And this actress had her nudes leaked onto the internet.
By herself.
Let’s rewind a bit.
What Happened
Despite our parents telling us it’s a bad idea, most of us still take nudes and send it to another person, right?

And this group of people happen to include Ms Bella Thorne, Hollywood actress and all-around-badass, in shows and in real life.
Well, unfortunately for the actress, a hacker managed to get access to her smartphone and decide to do something with her photos.
Share it online Send these photos back to her and tried to blackmail her.
Wrong Move, Buster
Does she cave? Did she give him money? Will she beg? Unfortunately for the hacker, none of the above.
Instead, she took to social media and uploaded the photos herself with a heartfelt message.

Other than emphasising how the photos were meant for that special someone in her life, she explained why she did it herself.
She is taking back control of her life.
She added that the hacker has sent her multiple shots of other celebs (nudes) and state that he won’t stop with her.
And the best part, the FBI is aware of the incident and chasing down the hacker.
Nudes Are Embarrassing, Blackmailers Are Criminals
Nude leaks aren’t anything new in the world anymore, especially with the proliferation of social media, the internet and unsavoury characters.

Okay, just for a moment, I’m going to pull off a father: Don’t do nudes.Â
But if you did it and got blackmailed for it? Lodge a police report immediately instead of giving in.
After all, blackmailers are like sharks. The moment you give in, you know they’d just grab on and ask for more.
They’re causing you hell; it makes sense to repay them back with punishments like that 30-year-old man and a 19-year-old lady, or the man who pretended to be a woman.
Right?
These five GRCs could see the tightest battle in GE2025; here’s why:
