Since August 2022, there have been rumours that actor Zheng Geping’s daughter, actress Tay Ying, was dating celebrity chef Wu Sihan.
On 3 January 2024, the couple finally made their relationship public.

The post finally confirmed that the pair are indeed a couple.
Its caption read, “Stepping into another new year together.”
The post was accompanied by photos of the couple lovingly posing together.
According to Mediacorp, this year marks the third year the pair have been a couple.
In the age of social media, it’s impressive that they managed to keep their relationship low-key for this long.
Kept Quiet About Their Relationship
In August 2022, rumours that Tay Ying and Sihan were dating began to fly when it was reported that the pair were on holiday together in Australia.
Photos from their Instagram Stories showed them in the same car.
Notably, the pair have kept pretty quiet about their relationship.
When the rumours first broke, Tay Ying and her mum, actress Hong Huifang, chose to reserve their comments.
According to 8days, when the media agency interviewed Sihan in an interview in early 2023, questions about Tay Ying were turned down by his manager.

On her Instagram stories, Tay Ying shared that the photos were taken at a friend’s place.
Her parents and younger brother, singer-songwriter Calvert Tay, commented on the Instagram post with many heart emojis.
Other local celebrities like Cynthia Koh and Romeo Tan also posted their congratulations.

The Celebrity Agency, which manages Tay Ying and Sihan, posted an Instagram post featuring the pair on their holiday to Australia.

Tay Ying is the daughter of veteran actors Zheng Geping, 59, and Hong Huifang, 62.
She graduated with a marketing degree from RMIT in 2019 and has been active as an actress since 2017.
She joined the Mediacorp family in 2022.

However, she received praise for her performance in Mediacorp drama SHERO? in 2023, where she played Lin Xinya, a female bodyguard battling a drug addiction.
