Earlier this month, I wrote about the last sale that Gap and Banana Republic have before they close down all their stores in Singapore.
The news came as a shock to many, as they were one of the top go-to outlets for quality clothing at reasonable prices.
But just a week later, another one is closing down.

According to The Straits Times, American fashion retailer American Eagle Outfitters will be departing from our shores by the end of this month.
The retailer currently has two stores here, one in Suntec City and another in VivoCity, which has already ended operations on Wednesday (Feb 21).
The Suntec City outlet is having a closing down sale and will close on the last day of the month.
Which is just five days later.
What the company say
American Eagle Outfitters is under local firm Star 360 Holdings.
It has successfully made its presence known to all in the less-than-three-years period that it was here.
Star 360 is also in-charge of brands like Onitsuka Tiger, Birkenstock, and Cole Haan.
This is in addition to its same-name multi-label footwear and apparel stores.

A spokesman for Trendz 360, which is under Star 360, said that the company will be “refocusing on its strategic business in footwear both in Singapore and around the region”.
The closing down of American Eagle Outfitters will not affect its “core business of footwear brands”.
Experts note that rising fashion labels like H&M, Zara and Forever 21 has threatened the survival of other higher-priced brands who do not release new styles as often.
As you can guess, this is referring to the three retails that have recently chose to close down.
Experts also noted that the growth of e-commerce is vital for American brands if they want to do well in Singapore.

Anyways, I hope this will be the last clothing brand I’m saying goodbye to for a very long time.
