It must be a parent’s worst nightmare: to send your child off to school and receive them in worse condition than before.

And yet, that’s exactly what transpired in this particular case…

A notion which, admittedly, terrifies to no end.

4-YO Boy Mishandled by AMK Preschool Teacher & Has to be Hospitalised with $2K Bill

One parent’s innate fear came true when her 4-year-old son reportedly suffered neck abrasions…

After being allegedly mishandled by a teacher.

In a Facebook post dated 5 December 2020, the afflicted mother stated that a Chinese teacher had confessed to manhandling her son, Cody.

It was also not a one-time incident, with the mishandling purportedly occurring since July –a notion that the offending teacher has allegedly admitted to.

She also managed to view CCTV footage of the incident.

Despite a lack of understanding on the appropriate measure to take, the aggrieved parent wishes for two things:

For the teacher to pay for what she has done, and to raise awareness about such issues.

In the same post, the parent also shared a picture of her son in a hospital bed.

A photo of a bill from the hospital revealed that Cody was warded for one day, with the total expenses tallying at more than $2,000.

Netizens have since expressed their sympathies for the afflicted boy, with others calling for the appropriate measures to be taken.

Clarification

Little Seeds Preschool has since clarified that there is no evidence, apart from the teacher’s own admission, that attests to the manhandling of the child since July 2020.

Instead, recorded footage only accounted for an isolated case: the teacher had “physically mishandled a 4-year-old boy” on 2 December, causing abrasions to the back of his neck.

Investigations have since concluded that the teacher had “handled the child in a rough manner”, a notion which led to the offending teacher’s dismissal.

The incident was also reported to the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA).

In light of the incident, the pre-school stated that they deeply regret the incident, and they will adopt measures to prevent such occurrences from transpiring again.

The afflicted family has also been offered assistance and support.

Previous Instances

Though rare, such cases are not entirely non-existent.

Back in 2019, a woman uploaded a Facebook post, alleging that her son had been abused by a Sunflower Preschool teacher.

Apparently, she would find bruises, nail marks and scratches on his body every three to four days.

And back in 2018, a little girl was allegedly abused in a pre-school – an incident which left her with a swollen and bruised ear.

A police report was subsequently lodged on 14 February 2018.
