Ten Hospitalised After Teenagers Allegedly Start Fire at Ang Mo Kio Block 510 Lift Lobby

Ten people were taken to the hospital after a fire erupted at Block 510 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8 on 25 Sep 2025, involving a personal mobility aid and several bicycles at the lift lobby on the seventh floor, reported The Straits Times.

Incident Details

The Singapore Civil Defence Force received a call at about 8.30pm, reporting a blaze at the block.

Firefighters promptly extinguished the flames, which were limited to the lift lobby on the seventh floor, where the personal mobility aid and bicycles were located.

No fire damage occurred to any residential units.

Hospitalisations and Evacuations

According to Mothership, individuals aged between 18 months and 85 years old were assessed for smoke inhalation and then taken to the hospital.

All were conscious. As a precaution, police and SCDF evacuated about 90 residents from the block.

Police Investigation

Two teenagers, aged 16 and 17, were arrested for the offence of mischief by fire.

The Singapore Police Force confirmed their involvement remains under investigation.
