Angry Pedestrian Kicks White Mercedes After Driver Almost Hit Them On Pedestrian Crossing

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m the kind of guy who crosses the road and does the intense stare at any incoming vehicles.

Even at the traffic lights when it’s green.

The reason is simple. If I screw up on the road as a pedestrian and bang a car, the car will be fine, but I’m a human pancake. If a car screws up on the road and bangs me, the car will be fine, but I’m still a human pancake.

And that’s why I make sure to always give the stare when I’m crossing to make sure a random car doesn’t screw up.

How I think I look like to the drivers:

Given the consequence of any accident involving a pedestrian, it’s not like I don’t sympathise with what happened here.

Car Almost Clipped A Couple of Pedestrians

In a 22-second clip uploaded to SG Road Vigilante – SGRV on Facebook, a couple of pedestrians can be seen crossing the road at a junction.

A white car then proceeds to turn right, following another vehicle in front of it which managed to turn without issues.

But it would appear that they were too close to the couple and braked. It’s not clear whether the white car actually hit the man, who was closer to the white car.

The man then turned to scold the driver.

(Or at least, that’s what it looks like since there’s no audio. He could be saying nice things while angrily gesturing.)

The driver winds down his car window before driving off.

But Not Before The Man Kicked The Car

Luckily, it seemed like no one was injured in this incident.

Facebook Comments

Most Facebook comments appear to be on the side of the pedestrian, pointing out that it was the driver’s fault.

One tried to reason that maybe the man was in a blind spot and that it was also raining and night time. He/she was however quickly met with replies reasoning why it doesn’t make sense.

Some have used this to talk about how people are getting more stressed and easily angered.

And I can’t say that the stress comments don’t make sense, especially since it feels like everyone is pressured to move up the economic ladder.

You know how I talked about me staring at random cars so they don’t screw up?

What I meant was them knocking me good for me to be injured but not enough to be dead, so I can claim insurance. Maybe then I can worry less about money.
