Another Toy Buffet of $8 Per Bag, This Time in Jurong Point BHG

If you’re one who likes to stock up on all your Christmas presents even when it’s just March, you’d know about the “Toy Buffet” by BHG.

Basically, you’d be given an empty plastic bag like this…

…and you’ll try to stuff as many toys as possible into it.

Each bag would be at $8 regardless of what you put in, so the strategy is to squeeze in as many small toys (with small packaging) as possible.

And with that, you’d have bought enough Christmas gifts for all your nieces, nephews, colleagues’ kids and any little monsters that you know.

This is always in a BHG outlet, and in the past, netizens have often mentioned that the place would be packed with kiasu people squeezing as many toys as possible.

In fact, some people claimed that when they arrived, there weren’t many toys around.

The latest one occurred last month in Bishan BHG, and prior to that, it happened in Bugis BHG.

Well, it’s no wonder the toys run out as fast as Hello Kitty soft toys: those two outlets were located in the heart of Singapore, so anyone living in Jurong or Tampines would feel the need to make a trip there.

But this time?

It’s all the way to the west, so competition isn’t that…intense.

Jurong Point BHG Toy Buffet

Unlike previous Toy Buffets whereby BHG would announce it on their Facebook Page, this latest one isn’t.

Instead, the ever reliable and hardworking Singapore Atrium Sale found it.

According to the superhero who doesn’t wear cape, the carts are still full, and crowd is “moderate”.

Now, note that the admin posted it this morning (19 March 2019), which means it’s the start of the day. Anyone who’s a regular in Jurong Point would know this:

  1. It’s always very crowded
  2. Refer to #1
  3. Refer to #2

So while it’s full like this now…

…you might see the smaller toys disappearing by the time you’re there this evening.

Nevertheless, aren’t you glad that you’ve downloaded our app (and come in daily) because you read it first before anyone, since we publish our articles in our app first before sharing it on Facebook at a later time?

Wait, you’re reading this from Facebook?

Then don’t bother going lah, even if you live in Jurong. Facebook’s algorithm would even push contents that were published three days ago to you, so by the time you’re reading this, the cart might be filled with underwear liao #justsaying

Pro Tip for Non-Jurong-ers

Now, if you live in Pasir Ris and decide to have a journey to the west, here’s something you need to know: Jurong Point is next to Boon Lay MRT Station, not Jurong East MRT Station.

So don’t gong gong alight at Jurong East MRT Station and go to all the malls there, only to realise none of them is Jurong Point.
