Sometimes, life just isn’t fair, and some people are born with disabilities. Some don’t have the ability to see, some don’t have the ability to walk like the majority of us.

Despite all these, it doesn’t make them any different from us. They should still be treated as equals. We should still treat them with the same amount of respect, obviously. 

They have feelings too, and we need to be mindful of them. However, there are some people who just don’t get this and choose to take advantage of these people.

An 18-year-old deaf and mute Malaysian girl was on her way home at night along Jalan Kalumpang in Semporna when she was forcefully dragged off into a hut and raped.

What Happened

At 2am on 8 December, the girl’s father noticed that she wasn’t at home. Worried like any father would be because it is very dangerous for a girl to be out alone so late, he decided to look for his daughter in the vicinity of their house. He managed to spot his daughter about 20m away from their house, but there was something wrong.
