If you’ve been trying to find new activities to do and new places to visit before the June holidays end, we’ve got just the place for you.
From 19 June, The Arena @ Keat Hong will be open to the public to visit, and it’s not an exaggeration to say that there’s something for everyone at this new facility located at Choa Chu Kang.
If you’re finding a nice space to have a friendly game of badminton, basketball or even futsal, be prepared to play your heart’s out at a large field nestled within the Choa Chu Kang neighbourhood.
And if you’re taking the kids at home (or your inner child) out to a playground, The Arena @ Keat Hong’s got you covered too.
Just yesterday (16 June), Choa Chu Kang GRC MP Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim uploaded the following photos onto his Facebook page, giving us a sneak peek of what to expect at The Arena @ Keat Hong:
Based on the photos, apart from the normal basketball and badminton courts that one might see in any other neighbourhood, The Arena @ Keat Hong will also be equipped with a large futsal pitch.
The court, cushioned with synthetic grass turf, is definitely something you won’t want to miss out on visiting if you’re looking for someplace to have a futsal game or two.
One netizen asked in the comments section if a netball court could be built, and the MP himself replied that he “Will ask TC (Town Council) to consider multifunctional courts suitable for netball in future too”.

As for the playground, it’s pretty clear that it’ll be much cooler than most playgrounds that you might find near your HDB blocks.
With multiple long slides, climbing nets and a mini rock-climbing wall among other features, there’s no doubt that any child will have a whale of a time at this new playground.
The grand opening of The Arena @ Keat Hong will take place this Sunday (19 June), so be sure to mark your calendars for the event!
