Universal Studios Singapore at Resorts World Sentosa will host the Asia-Pacific premiere of Wicked: For Good on 13 Nov 2025, announced in a press release late on Friday (10 Oct 2025).
Stars Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande and Michelle Yeoh will walk the yellow carpet at the event, joined by actor Jeff Goldblum and director Jon M Chu.
Singapore marks the fourth stop on a five-city global premiere tour for the film.
The tour began in São Paulo, Brazil on 4 Nov 2025, followed by Paris on 7 Nov and London on 10 Nov, before arriving in Singapore on 13 Nov. The final stop will be New York City on 17 Nov 2025.
Success of First Film
The first Wicked film, released in November 2024, became the most successful Broadway film adaptation of all time. The film earned more than US$756.4 million (~SGD$981.6 million) worldwide and secured 10 Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture.
It won Oscars for Best Costume Design and Best Production Design at the 97th Academy Awards.
Wicked surpassed Mamma Mia! (2008), which previously held the record with US$611 million (~SGD$809 million) globally, to become the highest-grossing film based on a Broadway musical ever.
Premiere Event Details
The evening will feature a handprint ceremony and culminate in a screening at Pantages Hollywood Theatre. An exclusive fan event will take place at WEAVE at Resorts World Sentosa as a prelude to the premiere.
Fans can purchase Universal Studios Singapore Premiere Day Special tickets to see the cast walk down the yellow carpet on 13 Nov 2025. Tickets are priced from S$93 for adults and S$72 for children, inclusive of Universal Studios Singapore food and beverage vouchers as well as retail vouchers. The movie premiere screening itself is a closed-door event by invitation only.
About the Film
Wicked: For Good is the final chapter of the untold story of the witches of Oz. Elphaba, who has been vilified as the Wicked Witch of the West, lives in exile within the Ozian forest. Meanwhile, Glinda has become a symbol of Goodness for all of Oz. The former continues to fight for the freedom of Oz’s silenced animals and to expose the truth about the Wizard.
The film will be released in Singapore cinemas on 20 Nov 2025. In the United States, Wicked: For Good is scheduled for theatrical release on 21 Nov 2025.
