Listen up, do you dream of flying around the world and being constantly surrounded by beautiful people?
And if you can do that and earn money at the same time, you’ll die without regrets.
If you’ve ever thought that way, I’ve got some amazing news for you.
Such a job will be in demand for the next twenty years, and it pays pretty well too.
Flight Passengers To Double By 2036 in Asia-Pacific Region
According to a news report, the airline industry will see a boom in the next 20 years. Stronger economies and more budget airlines mean people are more willing and able to fly.
By 2036, it’s projected that the number of passengers in the Asia-Pacific region will double.
And so, more people are needed to operate the additional flights to meet that demand.
Exactly how many more?
If you’re thinking 10,000 or 20,000, you’re not even close. The airline industry requires over 700,000 individuals in the upcoming decades.
Around 16,930 new planes are projected to be delivered to the Asia-Pacific region in the next twenty years.
And to operate the additional flights, 240,000 pilots, 242,000 technicians and 317,000 cabin crew are required.
Add them together and you’ll have around 799,000 jobs needed for the airline industry in Asia-Pacific.
So If You’re Thinking Of Getting a Job as a Pilot or Air Stewardess
There’s no better time than now to try. In the words of my hip colleague, the time is now.
No matter whether you’re still in your early teens or already contemplating about your future in university, you can start preparing for your future job.
Or, try your best to get skills and experience related to the commercial airline field.
You can read about the things that air stewardess meet on a daily basis before deciding if the job is for you.
You can take a sneak peek at what it really means to be an SIA girl. Or just a general feel of the requirements of an air stewardess.
And, of course, if you want to be a pilot, you’re going to want to stop looking at stuff in the darkness of your room.
Cuz having a good eyesight is one of the pre-requisite of being a pilot. Even commercial ones.
Just take note that the chances of you getting into SQ are still as low as level.
Remember, the article writes about how the increase in the number of budget airlines will bring about a greater number of people travelling via aircraft.
This means the increase will highly likely be due to budget airlines. I.E. you’ll have a higher chance of getting a position in budget airlines than the atas ones.
But that’s okay. You’re still travelling anyway, no? 😉
