The salted egg yolk trend can now step aside as BAKE Cheese Tart is here to take its place with the opening of its flagship store come 29th April 2016.
For those who might not know, BAKE cheese tarts first hailed from Kinotoya in 2011, an established Western confectionery in Hokkaido. The outlet has since garnered a strong following and has opened 9 other stores across Japan, followed by countries like Hong Kong, Seoul and Bangkok.

The BAKE cheese tart is made with a creamy mousse that is prepared and blended from three different types of cream cheese before being pipped atop a buttery tart base that has been baked twice: once in Japan without the cheese mousse filling and another time once it reaches Singapore to create a twice-baked pastry. One bite of into the cheese tart and we were sold.
BAKE Cheese Tart will be available at the basement food hall (B4-33) of Ion Orchard on 29 April 2016. Each cheese tart will retail for S$3.50, and customers can buy six at S$19.50. Every customer is only allowed to buy 12 cheese tarts at one go.
