Motorcyclist Stopped to Push a Stranger’s Stalled Car Upslope Alone at Bedok

With the rise of “anti-vaxxers” and selfish people forcing their “freedoms” onto others, it’s easy to feel disheartened and disappointed in humanity as a whole.

But then there is news like this that parted the grey clouds to let in a few rays of sunlight, restoring your faith in humanity again.

An Act Deserving of Praise

On 12 August 2021, a netizen in the ROADS.sg community published a post praising the good deed of a motorcyclist.

You see, a Toyota Corolla Altis broke down near Bedok Green Secondary School, along Bedok North Avenue 3.

He was likely heading towards New Upper Changi Road before his vehicle stalled.

The lone driver then got out of the vehicle and started pushing the car.

Now, if you’ve been in the same situation before, you’ll probably know that it takes two to deal with the issue.

One person will need to push the vehicle from behind, while the other will need to remain in the driver seat to steer the vehicle.

The poor fellow had to do it all on his own.

Luckily, a kind-hearted motorcyclist saw that help is needed as he approached the stalled car on his motorbike.

Instead of riding away, minding his own business as all the other motorists did, the Good Samaritan parked his motorbike at the side of the road and came over to help.

Not only did he have to push the approximately 1,300kg car, but he also had to do it while pushing it uphill, no thanks to the slope the car happened to be on.

The driver of the vehicle, on the other hand, went back into his car to steer the vehicle as the motorcyclist pushed.

Of course, that’s not to mention that the road they were on is a pretty busy one, with vehicles zipping by on the side.

It’s definitely a commendable thing for this motorcyclist to risk his own safety for a complete stranger.

Netizens are Trying to Identify the Good Samaritan

There are plenty of good deeds that had gone unnoticed, I’m sure.

But since this incident was brought to light, netizens wholeheartedly agree that the motorcyclist should definitely be rewarded, or at the very least, recognized for his good deed.

The internet sleuths are hard at work though, there were already some clues.

A netizen commented that the guy works for Singapore Power but another netizen refuted the point and insisted that he’s working at Schindler, the company that is prominently known for making and maintaining its range of lifts and escalators.

Well, whichever company it is, this motorcyclist should be given credit for his act of kindness and we hope that he will get it.
