If you would like to turn your pink aesthetic into reality, BreadTalk has got your back. From now till 18 April 2021, they’ll be selling super cute pink items as part of their new Blooming in Pink collection to commemorate the beginning of spring!
While none of us living in Singapore can tell whether spring has sprung, and we can’t travel to see the Japanese cherry blossoms in person, these treats will be able to give us a taste of the iconic features of the season.
BreadTalk has created nine “pink-toned” items which reflect the blossoming of flowers—a symbol of hope and new beginnings. You’ll be able to buy all of these products in-store and online.
Out of the nine new items, three of them are cakes.
The Party Pink (S$44.80) is a six-inch cake with alternating layers of pillow-soft pink vanilla chiffon cake, tangy raspberry rose coulis and strawberry white chocolate cream. Topped with fresh Korean strawberries, blueberries and rosemary, the cake looks perfectly pretty in pink!
They’ll also be sold as individual slices at S$8 per slice.
There will also be the Rolling in Pink (S$8.80) swiss roll, filled with strawberry jam and buttercream. Cheesecake lovers, rejoice, as you’ll have the option of the Strawberry Light Cheesecake (S$12.80)! The cotton-soft Japanese-style soufflé cheesecake is decorated with sakura—Japanese cherry blossom—flowers.
Moving onto the other delightful treats!
The Strawberry Blush (S$2.80) is a Danish sweet bun filled with strawberry custard cream and fresh strawberries—a tweaked version of BreadTalk’s best selling Smart Aleck bun! Or rather, its spring-ier sister?
Love Japanese melon pan and strawberries? BreadTalk’s Melon Blush (S$1.90) will give you the best of both worlds! The bun features a crispy strawberry crust, akin to the surface of rockmelon, and is filled with a strawberry milk filling.
If you have a sweet tooth, check out the Strawberry Donut (S$2.30). The sweet treat is coated in white chocolate glaze, drizzled with strawberry chocolate, and topped off with a fresh strawberry.
The Strawberry Steam Cake (S$1.90) and Sakura Anpan (S$2.00) is also sure to delight. The latter contains a combination of Taiwan-imported red bean paste and salted sakura cherry blossoms.
Tins of Rose Butter Cookies, containing real rose petals, will also be on sale for S$12.80 per bottle.
