When you plan your next buffet meal with your family or friends, you’ll have to take one restaurant out of the running.
Spoiler alert: It’s Buffet Town.
And if you’re wondering why you didn’t hear of their closing down announcement, well, it’s because they didn’t have one.
Raffles City’s Buffet Town Has Closed Down
After a little over a decade in the market, Buffet Town has ended operations.
Buffet Town first opened its doors in 2011 and obtained its Halal certification in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The family-friendly restaurant served buffets that included various cuisines such as Western, Japanese and local food at considerably affordable prices, especially given that it was located in Raffles City.
It used to be rather well-liked by Singaporeans, with an average rating of 3.5/5 on TripAdvisor and EatBook rating it 8/10.
However, most of the recent ratings on TripAdvisor were low, especially those that were written after the pandemic started. Many customers gave the place one or two-star ratings, citing bad service and poor quality of food.
And though they had to halt operations when COVID-19 dining in restrictions were in place, they rebounded quickly after the restrictions were lifted with a series of promotions and discounts for customers.
They Left Without Warning
As mentioned earlier, there was no announcement made regarding Buffet Town’s closure. The restaurant’s last Instagram posts were from December last year, and they were advertising Buffet Town’s Christmas promotions.
However, upon closer look, they added the phrase “[Closed]” to their Instagram bio.
Their Facebook page seems to have been deleted as well.

On the other hand, their website also indicates that they are currently closed, and the website also thanked their customers for their “continued loyalty and patronage”.
A quick google search for “Buffet Town” will yield no results for Google maps, with the restaurant listed in its place being Town Restaurant located at The Fullerton Hotel.
