Bungee Jumper’s Cord Snapped But He Survived Due to Air Cushion Underneath Him

Bungee jumping is easy.

Easy to be fearful of, anyway.

Like dude, have you even seen that shit?

What’s this whole get-up? Paying to see your life flash before your very eyes?

It looks so damn… untrustworthy!

“Don’t be a little pussy cat la,” my colleague once said when I told him of my fear. “There’s a rope, right? It hasn’t snapped, right? Why would you even die?”

Back then, I could only keep my mouth shut. But I knew. I knew better.

It’s only a matter of time before something goes wrong.

And this article’s the perfect exemplification of that daredevil sport we call…

Bungee Jumping.

Bungee Jumper’s Cord Snapped But He Survived Due to Air Cushion Underneath Him

According to The Suna daredevil, believed to be a 39-year-old local, was bungee jumping in a park in Gdynia, Poland, when something went wrong.

Horrifically.

Having been raised on a platform hoisted by a crane, he then launched himself off the platform with relative ease.

And for a while, everything seemed to be going well, as the jumper fell through the air.

But then it happened.

The most horrifying thing you could ever imagine.

When the cord began to pull tight, the rope suddenly snapped off the straps tied to the jumper’s ankles, and he proceeded to free-fall towards the ground at full speed.

The save of a lifetime

Just as the jumper was receiving an express ticket to the afterlife, something intervened:

The air cushion situated at the bottom.

Initially landing on the large air cushion, he then bounced off it and landed on the ground.

It was then that paramedics and bystanders rushed to his air, and he was swiftly ferried to the hospital.

Broken, but not broken

Upon arrival, the man was determined to have sustained a snapped vertebrae, as well as other injuries to multiple internal organs.

‘Thankfully’, while the spine itself shattered, the spinal cord was not damaged. That meant that despite such an ordeal, the man will still be able to work.

Oh my word, it’s a real miracle.

Nevertheless, local police have since attended the scene and interviewed witnesses and employees of the company organising the event. Let’s hope that there will be some justification for the man’s horrifying incident…

And wish that there will be no second time.

Ever.

On a side note, don’t let this incident affect that bungee-jumping trip you have going on tomorrow. After all, nothing in this world is safe.

Nothing.

So go out with a bang.

And don’t scare yourself like this:
