For sweet-tooths, your nightmare is here (no, not the dentist).
Cake Spade is Closing Down
Confectionery store Cake Spade will be discontinuing operations in February 2023.
If you haven’t heard about this brand before, it’s a homegrown dessert cafe that is on 283 South Bridge Road. It started off at Orchid Hotel, then relocated to 83 Tanjong Pagar Road, and then relocated again in April 2022.
It has been standing for over a decade already and is now ceasing to continue.
Gone but never forgotten…
Instagram Announcement
The cafe took to social media to announce its closure.
In the post’s caption, they thanked their customers for their loyalty and support throughout the years. Besides that, they also explained a bit about the shop’s history and how they are coming to close down now.
“We saw 2022 as an opportunity to continue our growth following the Covid-19 pandemic. However, as with many of life’s twists and turns, things don’t always go according to plan,” the post wrote.
Last but not least, they took the opportunity to encourage viewers to go down and try their cakes before their closure.
The cryptic image in the post read: goodbyes are not forever.
