At Ace Comic Con in 2018, Spider-Man actor Tom Holland committed a murder.
It wasn’t a literal murder, of course. Rather, he delivered a burn so scorching it must have instantly melted Anthony Mackie, who’s known for playing Falcon in the Avengers’ movies.
Here is the burn:
Mackie joked that he hadn’t seen “Spider-Man: Homecoming” yet, to which Holland retorted: “I haven’t seen the Falcon mo- oh, no… there isn’t one. Sorry.”
Holland and the audience got a good chuckle out of it, but it seems that Mackie will have the last laugh.
There’ll Be a New Captain America Movie After “The Falcon & The Winter Soldier”
Rejoice, Marvel fans, because a fourth Captain America movie is reportedly in the works.
According to Hollywood Reporter, the head writer and creator of Disney+ and Marvel’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Malcolm Spellman, is developing Captain America 4 for Marvel Studios.
It’s believed that Spellman will co-write the script with Dalan Musson, a staff writer on Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Chris Evans has starred in three solo Captain America movies up until this point, playing Steve Rogers, but no castings for the upcoming film have been made known to the public.
There does appear to be one frontrunner in the race to carry the shield, however.
Anthony Mackie as Captain America?
Mackie, an American actor, has attained global recognition with his portrayal of Sam Wilson /Falcon/Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
He made his first appearance in 2014’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”, and subsequently appeared in five other Marvel movies.
He’s also starring in Disney+ and Marvel’s “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”, a television miniseries which premiered this month.
The Hollywood Reporter has tipped Mackie to play Captain American in the fourth installment of the franchise as he’s the current wielder of the shield.
No director has been named, however. Both Chris Evans and Marvel president, Kevin Feige, have also denied that Evans would be returning as Steve Rogers in the MCU.
