And we thought the Singapore education system is strict enough. This, is akin to studying in North Korea.
According to Shanghailist, Qingdao Binhai University, a private vocational college founded in 1992, students who are caught doing any Public Display of Affection (PDA) in pubic will be subjected to a stern punishment from the university.
When caught, the students will be punished by washing dirty toilets because the school has no cleaning staff.
And if you were thinking that this will be a good way for the school to save money, the school actually commented that this is an initiative to teach students to be responsible, not to save on any extra expenses.
A manager of student affairs confirmed that the university has no cleaning staff, but claimed that this was not to save money, but to teach students to be responsible and build good cleanliness habits.
Other acts of affection includes holding hands, hugging, guys helping girls carry bags, couples sharing trays in the cafeteria as well as the sharing of earpieces.
And if the students were caught on multiple accounts, they will be sentenced to harsher punishments.
Violators of this rule face public shaming, punishment and possible expulsion.
I’m not sure about you, but seems like the school is really making the best use of their budget to not employ extra workers because their students can just do it the dirty chores for them.
If you are looking for a school where you can study, befriend someone of an opposite gender and also learn how to do household chores, Qingdao Binhai University is for you.
