So you thought only BKT Lover would be in the news for breaching his Stay-Home Notice.

Well, no.  If you’ve been following the news, which you should be since you’ve nothing to do at home now, he and two more men have been charged for breaching the Stay-Home Notice.

In addition, two foreigner workers are charged for breaching the Quarantine Order.

Today, ICA released a statement, detailing how three more people would be charged tomorrow (21 April 2020) for breaching their Stay-Home Notice.

Stay Out Human Being #1: 48-year-old Singaporean

A 48-year-old Singaporean, Chong Chun Wah, had returned to Singapore from Indonesia on 17 March 2020. He was immediately served a Stay-Home Notice.

But the man couldn’t keep himself at home: he went out not once but twice during the SHN period.

The first was to take a bus to Jurong east to buy food, which means he was out for about 1.5 hours, and also to check his mail at the ground floor of his block for 5 minutes.

The second was to walk to a Bukit Batok coffee shop to buy food, and that took him about 30 to 45 minutes.

Someone please show him how to use food delivery apps, man.

Stay-Out Human Being #2: 25-Year-Old Singaporean

The second person is a 25-year-old Singapore, Siti Wan Su’Aidah, who had come back to Singapore from Australia on 25 March 2020.

The woman had walked to Vista Point (a heartland mall) from her Woodlands home to buy groceries and cigarettes, which took about 15 to 20 minutes. During her SHN, she’s alleged to have failed to respond to calls from ICA.

Yes, the cigarettes were specifically mentioned, so now you know the authorities don’t see cigarettes as groceries #justsaying

Stay-Out Human Being #3: 44-Year-Old American

The third person is a 44-year-old American who works as a commercial pilot, Brian Dugan Yeargan. He has landed on Singapore from Australia on 3 April 2020 with a 30-day short-term visit pass.

The American did more than just going out to buy daily essentials; the man took the MRT from Changi Airport to City Hall, and even walked to Chinatown to buy some personal items. All in all, he was out for about three hours.

All three of them would be charged under the Infectious Diseases (Covid-19-Stay Orders) Regulations 2020, and as you probably know by now, if guilty, they can be fined up to $10,000 or jailed up to six months.

If you know of anyone who’s on SHN but is still out there buying cigarettes, you can report him or her at 6812-5555 or make an online report at go.gov.sg/resportshnbreach.
