I never quite understood the gender-exclusive phrase “A hungry man is an angry man”.
Do people think women are thrilled when they’re starving? Everyone gets a little cranky if they haven’t eaten for a while, and it’s understandable.
What’s not understandable is beating a fellow customer up because she accidentally bumped into you.

China Customer Beats Up Lady For Bumping Into Her At Cashier
One lady in China has recently gone viral for thrashing another customer at a restaurant in Guangdong.
Chongqing Business Daily reported that the angry lady had beaten up the customer because she had bumped into her bag at the cashier.
Some netizens, however, have claimed that the victim had actually cut in front of the assailant in the queue.

Hangry vs Pink Jacket
For ease of comparison, I shall refer to the assailant as Hangry and the victim as Pink Jacket. Now, I have no idea if the assailant was actually hungry or not, but she was at an eatery and displayed the kind of anger only a lack of food can incite.
The video starts off with a lady in black clothing, Hangry, waiting at the cashier. Another lady in a pink jacket, Pink Jacket, approaches the cashier, accidentally bumping Hangry in the process.
This bump is almost imperceptible, but if you look closely, you can see that Pink Jacket gently bumped Hangry’s bag.
If you look even closer, you can see Hangry’s veins gradually swell with anger.

Some argue that Pink Jacket jumped ahead of Hangry in the queue, but it doesn’t seem like Hangry was waiting to purchase anything at the cashier.
Then, after around 15 seconds of deliberation, Hangry calmly places her bag on the cashier’s counter before turning into a Jean Claude van Damme character from the 80s.
As you can see, Hangry violently pushes Pink Jacket to the floor and kicks Pink Jacket’s chest when she tries to get up.
She then takes an object she had previously placed on the counter and smacks Pink Jacket with it.
The cashier leans forward twice during this beat down, presumably to show a little concern for Pink Jacket but not too much that she gets demolished by Hangry.

Hangry then gives Pink Jacket a death stare Greta Thunberg would be proud of, before walking off towards the exit.
But she wasn’t done just yet.
Round two
When Hangry turns around, she notices that Pink Jacket has dusted herself off and gotten up, so Hangry returns for round two.
She slaps Pink Jacket twice before violently flinging her to the ground. She then stomps on Pink Jacket and throws a cup at her before finally leaving the restaurant.
Pink Jacket appears to be unhurt, as she managed to get up and whip her phone out and film Hangry just before she left.

Thankfully, Hangry has been punished with a 15-day detention by the authorities, reported Sohu. Maybe she graduated from NUS with a goody GPA I don’t know.
No one also knows what provoked this violent fit of rage in Hangry, but I’m sure a pancake or two would have made everything better.
