If you think meeting up with prostitutes in some cheap, dingy motel is bad enough, wait till you hear about this!
Apparently, due to the crackdown on vice activities in various massage parlours around the Red Dot, prostitutes are resorting to using the handicap toilets after hours to carry out their *ahem* transactions.
And they almost got away with it too… that is until the Aunty cleaner strolled by and heard “something weird going on” – and I’m sure that’s an understatement – in a toilet cubicle that is supposed to be empty and locked after 6pm.
Caught literally in the act
The cleaner’s colleague told a reporter from LianHe WanBao (联合晚报) in an interview that “When the door opened, there was a man and a female prostitute, both undressed, going at it.”
“It shocked her so much, her face turned red. She immediately closed the door and ran away.”
How was the pair able to access the toilet which was locked? Well, the cleaner’s colleague has a theory.
She admitted that although the key is held only by her and the cleaner who caught the pair in the act, the lock can be “hacked” using just a coin.
The cleaner’s colleague also recognizes the prostitute in the toilet.
“The woman works at a nearby massage parlour. We suspect she switched locations to the handicapped toilet because the police are very stringent in their checks, thinking that no one would be around at night. She probably didn’t expect my colleague to find out about her.”
The cleaners even found boxes of fresh condoms hidden in the corner of the toilet.
They believed the boxes were stashed there by the prostitute.
It seems like word has gotten around the prostitute circle about this new method as well since another cleaner working at the nearby People’s Park Complex noticed a similar incident.
“When I was cleaning the toilets on the second level last week, a pair in their 30s walked out of the toilet cubicle together,” she noted.
Massages with happy endings
…are illegal by the way if you didn’t know about this already.
For massage parlours that are found to offer sexual services in addition to massages, they can be fined up to S$10,000, imprisoned for two years at most, or both under the Massage Establishment Act.
Back in October 2020, the police carried out a massive operation in Chinatown, Central Mall, Bugis, Jalan Besar and Little India.
Based on their press release, the police arrested 7 women under the Women’s Charter for allegedly offering prostitution services.
In December of the same year, the police also arrested a 40-year-old woman under the Women’s Charter at a massage establishment.
