Police Now Looking for 3 Men Involved in Circular Road Restaurant Fight

On 22 Dec 2020, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) revealed that they’ve arrested seven men, aged between 20 and 42, for their suspected involvement in the Circular Road restaurant fight.

They are currently appealing for information on the whereabouts of three other men to assist in the investigations.

7 Other Men Arrested

At about 9.45pm on 20 Dec 2020, the police were alerted to the fight involving two groups of people at The Mask Restaurant And Bar located at 26 Circular Road.

Footage of the fight, as well as the aftermath, can be found floating around on social media.

And police officers were spotted at the scene conducting investigations.

Upon their arrival, SPF officers managed to arrest two men, aged 24 and 42, at the scene. The rest of the suspects had fled the scene before the police arrived.

It was added that a knife was seized as a case exhibit.

After further investigations and looking through the CCTV cameras, police officers were able to identify five other men aged between 20 and 27 years old.

They were subsequently arrested within two hours from the time of the report.

Charged In Court

All seven men were charged in court on 22 Dec 2020.

Five of them, aged between 20 and 27, will be charged with rioting under Section 147 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224.

If convicted, they could be jailed up to seven years and caned.

For two other men aged 24 and 42, they are charged with rash act under Section 336(a) of the Penal Code.

If convicted, they could be jailed up to six months, fined up to S$2,500, or both.

Police investigations into the fight are ongoing and SPF says they will not tolerate such “brazen acts of violence” and the “blatant disregard for the law”.
