It’s easy to thank medical professionals and call them unsung heroes since we can see first-hand on what they’ve done.
But there’s one group of people who’ve been working behind the scenes to fight the COVID-19 virus, and you’d never see them in the frontline because they’re only working tirelessly when you’re not looking.
Yes, I’m talking about the cleaners that literally kill the nasty bug that might be lingering in any part of the Singapore.
When the DBS employees in MBFC Tower 3 vacated a floor for their safety, a group of cleaners stepped into the floor to clean and disinfect the area.
When people avoided an area that could have been contaminated by COVID-19 virus, a group of cleaners step into the area to clean and disinfect the area.
In fact, over in our office building, those unsung and unnamed heroes have been cleaning the building so often, I see them every single time I went to the toilet.
If my words aren’t strong enough to convince you to walk up to a cleaner and say “thank you” to them, then let this video do the talking.
Video Shows How Cleaners Stepped Up Cleaning Regime in Public Transport
Janil Puthucheary, a Senior Minister of State who’s also currently the coolest politician in Singapore after his interview with Sylvia in a Night Owls Cinematics YouTube video, visited the Bedok Integrated Transport Hub and Tanah Merah MRT Station.
And he (or his team lah; a trained doctor surely doesn’t know how to edit a video) posted a video showing how much work is being done to keep our public transport clean.
According to the video, cleaning regime has been stepped up; those unsung heroes are now cleaning the trains even when the trains are operating, because our poor trains never have a break.
Buses are also cleaned more frequently, at twice a day.
The cleaners never miss a spot: they even clean the sides of the gantry gate.
See, even the kid is confused on why those cleaners are working their butts off.
So, if you die-die need to share something, share the Phua Chu Kang COVID-19 video and this video.
Don’t share fake news because you’d hurt these cleaners who would then have to be deployed to clean those areas…only to release it’s false information because you shared it.
Over in TikTok, there’s a drama involving property agents that’s caused by us. Here’s what happened:
