It’s safe to say that local COVID-19 transmission is under control.

Today (19 October 2020), as of 12 pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 4 new cases of COVID-19 infection.

And here’s the thing: all 4 of them are imported cases.

This brings the total number of cases to 57,915.

On average, based on yesterday’s numbers, the number of new cases in the community has remained stable at an average of fewer than 1 case per day in the past 2 weeks.

The number of unlinked cases in the community has also remained stable at an average of fewer than 1 case per day in the past 2 weeks.

New Places Added to Places That Infectious COVID-19 Cases Have Been To

With such low community cases, it’s been a while since the list of places that infectious COVID-19 have been to was updated.

Well, there was an update last night.

Four new places were added to the list, and here’s how small the latest list is now:

As usual, there is no need to avoid places where confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been. The National Environment Agency will engage the management of affected premises to provide guidance on cleaning and disinfection.

As a precautionary measure, persons who had been at these locations during the specified timings should monitor their health closely for 14 days from their date of visit. They should see a doctor promptly if they develop symptoms of acute respiratory infection (such as cough, sore throat and runny nose), as well as fever and loss of taste or smell, and inform the doctor of their exposure history.

Individuals may access the SafeEntry Location Matching Self-Check service via the TraceTogether App, SingPass Mobile, or at https://wereyouthere.safeentry.gov.sg to check whether they were at these locations during the specified timings, based on their own SafeEntry records.

You can help keep the virus at bay by wearing your mask. Watch this video to the end to understand why masks might be more useful than a lockdown:
