One step forward, and one step back. COVID-19 is always here to screw up our progress when we think we’re doing well; after a period of seemingly good progress, we’re back to double-digit community cases. Hopefully, we don’t get too huge of a coronavirus “explosion”.
As of 12pm today (16 Jun), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 24 new cases of COVID-19 infection.
19 of them are community cases, with 3 currently unlinked. The remaining five are imported cases.
This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 62,339.
Overall, the number of new cases in the community has decreased from 93 cases in the week before to 60 cases in the past week. The number of unlinked cases in the community has increased from 10 cases in the week before to 18 cases in the past week.

In addition to quarantining all staff and tenants working there, MOH has also commenced special testing operations for all staff and tenants who have been working in 116 Bukit Merah View from 25 May.
The ministry is offering free COVID-19 testing to members of the public who had visited the shops at 115 and 116 Bukit Merah View between 25 May and 12 June as well.
The remaining COVID-19 cases that were logged yesterday (16 Jun) are:
