Well, it’s just another day of a three-digit COVID-19 cases.
As of 12pm today (5 Sep), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 191 new cases of COVID-19 infection.
186 of them are locally transmitted cases, and 90 of them are currently unlinked.

Based on yesterday’s number, the number of new cases in the community has increased from 551 cases in the week before to 1,167 cases in the past week. The number of unlinked cases in the community has also increased from 128 cases in the week before to 470 cases in the past week.
The 7-day moving average number of all linked community cases and all unlinked community cases are 99.6 and 67.1 respectively.
New COVID-19 Cluster at a Student Care Centre Reported Yesterday (4 Sep)Â
Three new COVID-19 clusters were identified by MOH yesterday, including a student care centre.
Radiance Student Care Centre, situated along Serangoon Ave 3, had two new cases, bringing its total to four.
The other two clusters are:
- Sembcorp Marine Tuas Boulevard Yard – one new case, eight in total
- Orient Goldsmiths & Jewellers staff- two new cases, three in total
With the closure of one cluster, we now have 62 active clusters.

608 Cases in Hospitals; 8,765,482Â COVID-19 Vaccine Doses Administered
608 cases are currently warded in hospital. There are currently 22 cases of serious illness requiring oxygen supplementation, and 5 in critical condition in the ICU.

Of those who have fallen very ill, 22 are seniors above 60 years, of whom 12 are completely unvaccinated or partially vaccinated.
As of yesterday, there are currently 62 clusters, ranging between 3 and 1,155 infections.
As of 3 September 2021, we have administered a total of 8,765,482 doses of COVID-19 vaccines under the national vaccination programme (Pfizer-BioNTech Comirnaty and Moderna), covering 4,527,338 individuals, with 4,357,467 individuals having completed the full vaccination regimen.
In addition, 170,144 doses of other vaccines recognised in the World Health Organization’s Emergency Use Listing (WHO EUL) have been administered as of 3 September 2021, covering 86,019 individuals.
In total, 81% of our population has completed their full regimen/ received two doses of COVID-19 vaccines, and 83% has received at least one dose.
