What’s the correlation between Cristiano Ronaldo and Singapore?
Well, for a start, our colleague BuffLord95 looks a lot like Cristiano Ronaldo. Secondly, Cristiano Ronaldo has a billionaire BFF in Singapore.
And thirdly, the insanely skilled soccer star is now a brand ambassador to Shopee, a homegrown e-commerce platform that has its HQ right here in Singapore.
Which means there’s a chance that CR7 might fly in to Singapore more often.
Here’s CR7 fans are dying to know.
Shopee Announces Global Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo as its Latest Brand Ambassador
Pretty sure you know what Shopee is, especially if you’re a regular Baddy Feed reader since they’re our client.
Yesterday, the company announced its partnership with global football icon Cristiano Ronaldo as its latest brand ambassador after Baby Shark.
Cristiano Ronaldo will work with Shopee on a wide range of initiatives to engage and inspire people in the region, starting with Shopee’s signature annual shopping event, 9.9 Super Shopping Day, which obviously falls on 9 September 2019.
And here’s what CR7 has to say, though I’m wondering if he pronounces “Shopee” correctly: “I am proud to be Shopee’s brand ambassador as we share the same ambition to be the best in our fields. I am always improving my game for my fans and my team, just as Shopee innovates to benefit their users in this region. I am excited by this partnership, and I look forward to creating more special moments for my fans together with Shopee.”
Here’s the guy holding up phone with a Shopee logo, because why not:
And it seems like soon, you’d be seeing that lean guy everywhere in the app. Just take a look at this:
A TV commercial featuring the football sensation diving crying doing something will be released tomorrow (16 August 2019), so if you think Shopee’s Baby Shark ads were everywhere…think of what’s going to happen in the next few weeks.
We’ve actually watched a little of the TVC, and let’s just say that it’s soccer-based, so if you like soccer and CR7, that would be for you.
And here’s a video showing Ronaldo’s skill:
You’re welcome.
