In case you have no idea, I have a penchant for hating Personal Mobility Devices(PMDs). But don’t get me wrong—as much as I dislike PMDs, I fully understand that it’s the users’ fault.
After all, it’s not like an E-Scooter will rev up by itself and suddenly ram you without any warning (What is this, the Terminator franchise?).
That being said, yes, I have issues with those idiotic cyclists who think that the road belongs to their Ah Gongs. Just a couple of days ago, I saw a cyclist tailgating a lorry—like, the hell was the cyclist trying to achieve?
Anyway, I suppose you know where I’m going with this. I’m going to be b*tching about stupid cyclists today. Here, take a look at this video here, courtesy of ROADS.sg:
Update: Cyclist arrested for drug-related offences after accident involving traffic police officer. ________________________________TP Officer took a fall from an irresponsible cyclist dashing across a busy 5 lane road.Happened along Geylang Road in front or Lorong 4 on 21/2/18 at 5.40 pm. Two places in Singapore drivers must put in 100% defensive driving skills, they are Geylang Road and Serangoon Road (Little India). These roads are full of pedestrians and cyclist that operate with a different level of safety consciousness.Wishing both TP ofiicer and cyclist a full and speedy recovery.Credit: I Waller

…What the hell?
Why is the cyclist doing? Hello? Your Ah Gong’s road izzit? Even if it really is his Ah Gong’s road, I’m sure his Ah Gong would love to slap him for crossing the road like this!
According to ROADS.sg, the accident happened along Lorong 4 Geylang Road on 21 Feb at around 5.40 pm.
5.40 pm? Geez, of all the time and places out there to cross the road like an idiot, he picked Geylang during a weekday evening?
However, I am glad that both the TP and the cyclist appeared to be fine as we can see them having a conversation after the accident.
And now, time for the plot twist!
You would assume that the man would be arrested for his recklessness or something, right? Well, sorry to disappoint y’all, folks. That was not the case.
In a report by Channel NewsAsia, the cyclist was apparently arrested for drug-related offences.
Police investigations are ongoing so let’s hope they will keep us updated on the situation!
Well, who knew a man riding a bike while under the influence of drugs can be as destructive as a drunk driver!
