Dee Kosh, a 32-year-old YouTube personality and radio deejay was accused of some pretty serious stuff over the weekend.
He was accused of trying to approach minors under 18 for commercial sex.
Initially, he had denied all of the allegations and sent a lawyer letter to one of his accusers
However, he turned around later and gave a public apology, saying that some parts of the allegations were true.
And because it is illegal in Singapore for anyone to proposition or pay for sex with minors under 18, the police got involved too.
Unfortunately, while he has decided to apologise and beg for forgiveness online, his accusers allegedly aren’t inclined to forgive him.
One of Dee Kosh’s Victims Responded to His Apology; Said He Didn’t Accept the Apology
According to Coconuts.sg, whom one of the accusers, Samuel, has spoken to, he and the rest of the people in this saga which has raised complaints against Dee Kosh refuses to accept his public apology.
“It is disgusting to know that such a big public figure has the audacity to carry out such acts, and yet has no courage to own up for his own mistakes.”
Samuel had previously posted screenshots of a conversation that allegedly happened between him and Dee Kosh where he was allegedly offered $1,000 for sexual services.
He said that Dee Kosh was not being “entirely truthful” and unless he admits to the entire thing, his apology will not be accepted.
Sexting With A Minor Is A Crime
If you were to pay attention to Dee Kosh’s apology, you’ll notice that he had admitted that his Snapchat conversation with a 15-year-old was “problematic”.
Dee Kosh has denied that he was “grooming” the boy sexually but admitted that he had used “inappropriate language“.
Sexting with minors in Singapore is illegal and could land you in jail for up to five years, fined up to $10,000, or both.
In 2018, a man was caught sexting a girl who was believed to be 15 years old. He was subsequently sentenced to 4 months in jail.
SPF Now Investigating
It is also confirmed that the Singapore Police Force (SPF) is now investigating Dee Kosh as well.
According to TODAYonline, at least four police reports have been filed against him. It’s unknown who filed the reports, but the police are now investigating the reports.
Power 98, the radio station he works in as a part-time deejay, said that he is now on leave pending an investigation, and that the station “does not tolerate any form of harassment.”
The lawyer who drafted the demand letter has also claimed that he’s no longer representing Dee Kosh.
