Not too long ago, in a video on TikTok, former DJ and YouTuber Dee Kosh was asked why he wasn’t making YouTube videos anymore.
The 32-year-old has been under the spotlight ever since several boys, some of whom were minors, came forward last year and accused him of sexual misconduct.
Since then, at least six police reports were filed against the 32-year-old, with the YouTuber admitting that there was some truth to the claims.
In the TikTok video, Dee Kosh replied that he’d only come back to YouTube after the investigations are over.
Now that they’re finally over, a comeback seems unlikely.
Dee Kosh Faces 7 Charges, Including 3 for Commercial Sex with a Minor Below 18
Today (19 Aug), the 32-year-old was charged in court for several sexual offences, including three charges for offences involving commercial sex with boys below 18.
He is also facing three charges under the Films Act and one under the Children and Young Persons Act.
In total, Dee Kosh was handed seven charges. His case has been adjourned to 15 Sep.
The Allegations
Around a year ago, several boys took to Twitter and Instagram to detail their unpleasant experiences with Dee Kosh, where he allegedly acted inappropriately.
They accused him of asking for nudes and sexual favours via Telegram and Instagram, which would have been bad enough, except that some of them were minors between the ages of 15 and 17.
On the day that the allegations surfaced, Dee Kosh denied all the allegations, but soon changed his tune.
Admitted There’s “Some Truth” To Allegations
In a subsequent Instagram post on 17 Aug last year, the 32-year-old said some of the allegations were baffling as they were “baseless and untrue”.
“However, even though I had put out on an earlier statement on Instastories denying allegations which had surfaced initially, I now admit that there is truth to some of the things which are being said now, and I am sorry to the people I have hurt in the process,” he said.
He also wrote: “I also believe whatever goes on in the bedroom of two consenting adults is their own private matter”, but in the same post, admitted that a conversation he had with a 15-year-old, of which screenshots were shared online, was “problematic.”
In his post, Dee Kosh said the allegations of him looking for paid sex on dating apps are completely false.
However, he now faces three charges for commercial sex with boys below 18.
