It’s 2068. An elderly, bearded man emerges from the forest, whips out his smartphone, and uploads a video to YouTube.
Passerby: Is that… Dee Kosh?
80YO Dee Kosh: Yes! I’m happy you remember m-
Passerby: Haven’t you been cancelled?
80YO Dee Kosh: Technically I have, but the investigations aren’t over yet. *heads back into the forest*
Premiering last year, the Dee Kosh Saga has since gone on to air over 786 episodes. The first 20 dealt with allegations of sexual misconduct levelled at the YouTuber by several boys online, some of whom were minors.
The other 766 episodes showed his sporadic responses to questions from the public about his reaction to the allegations, and why he stopped posting videos.
Well, after another long period away from the public eye, Dee Kosh has returned to answer some questions.
But this time, while dancing.
Dee Kosh Back on TikTok & Answered Questions About Being ‘Cancelled’ With Trending Dance
Dee Kosh has emerged from the wilderness to answer a few questions from the public.
The 32-year-old posted a video on TikTok yesterday (2 Aug) where he engaged in the platform’s latest trend: answering questions while dancing.
@deekoshofficial Answering some of your Questions 🙄 #gawd #fyp #cancelled #lame
Titled “Questions I Get While Being Cancelled”, Dee Kosh begins by answering a question he’s gotten often lately: “why don’t you post anymore?”
“Cuz I got cancelled,” Dee Kosh replies, leaving followers wondering why they even asked.
The second question posed is “When are you coming back to YouTube?”, to which he answers, “I don’t know? When the investigations are over?”
Since the allegations emerged last year, at least six police reports were filed against the 32-year-old, with Dee Kosh admitting that there was some truth to the claims.
The last question posed was a little tongue-in-cheek, as it asked how Dee Kosh’s time in prison was.
“If I went to prison I would have lost so much weight. As you can see I’m still fat”, the YouTuber quipped.
Dee Kosh’s post has been shared nearly 3,000 times and has gotten over 16,000 likes.
Many other TikTokers have participated in this quirky trend, where users answer questions from their followers while hand-dancing to a song called The Magic Bomb by Hoàng Read.
Called Out Netizens On Instagram
Unbeknownst to many, while Dee Kosh has not been uploading YouTube videos, he has been active on Instagram and the streaming platform Twitch.
In fact, earlier this year, he called out several netizens on Instagram who commented on one of his pictures.
In one exchange, a netizen commented saying she spotted Dee Kosh in a hawker centre, to which another replied, “He still dare to come out”.
Dee Kosh didn’t take too kindly to this, and responded with “So. Cancelled cannot eat issit?”
In response, the netizen said, “Can eat but how you feel while eating in public”.
Dee Kosh simply answered “Full lo?”
Just as he said in his TikTok video, he said at the time that he wouldn’t be making any new videos as police investigations are still ongoing.
Until the police conclude their investigations, stay tuned for more episodes of the Dee Kosh saga.
