For some of us who have been with our significant others for several years, getting hitched is only a question of when.
Some prefer to do it early on in their relationship, while others would rather wait a few years before making such a big decision.
Either way, when you finally do take this big step, you’re probably going to let people know about it online.
And if you’re a celebrity, you can expect this news to cause quite a stir.
Actor Desmond Tan Suddenly Announced That He Has Married His Long-Time Girlfriend
Like a bolt from the blue, local actor Desmond Tan announced that he’s marrying his university sweetheart.
In a post yesterday (7 Dec) that none of his followers saw coming, Tan shared wedding photos of him and his wife in France just after tying the knot.
Quoting the bible in his caption, he said: “I have found the one whom my soul loves Solomon 3:4.
“Once upon a time, I became yours and you became mine. We stay together through tears and laughter because that’s what they call happily ever after.”

According to his management agency, the Celebrity Agency, the pair are currently on their honeymoon in France.
They reportedly had their wedding at a chateau in the south of France after a private wedding reception last month in Singapore, attended by their families.
Mystery Woman
Not much is known about Tan’s new wife, and by that, I mean nothing at all is known.
Tan has never revealed the woman’s identity, and by the looks of it, he doesn’t plan to.
What we do know is that the pair have been dating for 12 years. It’s believed that the couple met at the National University of Singapore; Tan had graduated from there in 2011.
Just last month, another Mediacorp celebrity, Rebecca Lim, also announced that she’s engaged, and while she did her best to keep her husband-to-be’s identity a secret, it has since been reported that it’s Matthew Webster, a a 35-year-old Singaporean who works in corporate branding.
