If you are someone who has never given a damn about your parking skills, it’s about time you do so because you can be fined for poor parking. Well, sort of.
I’m not sure about you, but for someone like me who can’t parallel park to save my life, I’m getting pretty freaked out right now.
On 17 May 2017, a taxi was issued a summon along Kandahar Street as the driver parked his vehicle beyond the designated parking lot.
According to the summons, the cabby was fined $50 for infringing rule ’13’.
And if you were wondering what the HDB Rule 13 is, well, here you go.
The fine is now $70 instead of $50. For motorcycles, it will be $35.
So, if you’re someone who has difficulties with parallel parking, perhaps it’s better if you find a parking spot with vertical parking instead! Else, you might risk the chance of getting fined S$70 which well, isn’t very worth it after all.
Either that, or you just hope and pray that the summon officer doesn’t come along that day.
